Mark J. Hilliard graduated from Saint Louis University in 2002, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. While at Saint Louis University, he also earned a minor in English, and received a variety of merit-based scholarships during all four years of his attendance.

Mr. Hilliard received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2006. During law school, he served as a staff writer on the University of Dayton Law Review, where he authored a comment entitled, The Evolution and Misinterpretation of the Establishment Clause: Is Teaching Intelligent Design in Public Schools a Governmental Endorsement of Religion Prohibited by the First Amendment? The comment was published in Volume 32 of the University of Dayton Law Review. Mr. Hilliard also served as a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, the Volunteer Student Lawyer Project, and the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Additionally, he participated in a variety of community volunteer organizations aimed at providing pro bono legal advice to indigent clients. In 2006, Mr. Hilliard joined Yukevich Calfo & Cavanaugh, where he practices products liability defense litigation.
