Steven D. Smelser graduated from University of California at Los Angeles with a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Political Science in 1992, and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1995. Mr. Smelser is licensed to practice in California and Hawaii's state courts and the United States District Courts of California, Hawaii and Arizona. Mr. Smelser's practice focuses on the defense of automobile and tire manufacturers, consumer product manufacturers and general litigation. He has recently assisted in the coordination of a nationwide effort by an automobile manufacturer to defend, negotiate, and settle hundreds of pending lawsuits and claims throughout the United States with respect to the largest recall in automotive history.
